A note about your information
Privacy, plainly stated.
Last updated October 20, 2026
The short version
- We only collect your email if you join the waitlist, by typing it or by signing in with Google, plus two optional answers.
- Google Analytics runs only if you say yes. The games work the same either way.
- Practice games, lesson progress, and puzzles stay in your own browser.
- We never sell your information and we do not run ads.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your data anytime.
Who we are
Feral Worlds is made by Feral Game Studio, a small independent game studio. When this page says “we” or “us,” that's who we mean. Questions about your information go to [email protected].
What we collect
If you join the waitlist: your email address, the page you signed up on, the time, and the time you confirmed you are 18 or older. If you answer the optional questions, we also keep which game you're most excited about and whether you'd mostly host or join.
If you join by signing in with Google: the same things, plus the account we create for you, which holds the name and email address Google shares with us. It is the account you will use to join a game room. If a sign-in shares no email address, we cannot add you to the list.
If you accept analytics: Google Analytics records the pages you visit, things like finishing a lesson or a practice game, what you type into the game search (the first 40 characters), and general information such as your device type and rough location. In the game app and the game client it also sees things like signing in, which game you start, and which games or packs you look at. It never gets your email address, your name, a room code or an invite link, and we turn off Google's advertising features and cross-site profiling (Google signals and ad personalisation).
When you visit at all: like most websites, our servers and Cloudflare see your IP address. We use it briefly to stop abuse, such as limiting how often one address can sign up. Our logs hide email addresses.
In your own browser only: your practice game scores, lesson progress and puzzles solved are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Our Discord
Our community lives on a Discord server. Joining is up to you, and what you share there is handled by Discord under its own privacy policy. We see what you post and your Discord name, the same as any other member.
How we use it
- To send the welcome email and, later, real news: hosting opening, new games, and merch.
- To understand which games and pages people enjoy, so we build the right things.
- To keep the site and the waitlist safe from bots and abuse.
We don't sell your information, we don't run ads, and we don't share your email with anyone except the services below that help us send it.
Who helps us
- Our own servers
- The site and the waitlist database (InsForge) run on servers we manage, hosted with OVH.
- Cloudflare
- Runs our domain and protects the site from attacks. Every visit passes through it.
- MXRoute
- Delivers our emails and hosts our inboxes.
- hCaptcha
- Checks that waitlist signups come from people, not bots. It runs only on the signup form and may set cookies there.
- Google sign-in
- If you join by signing in, Google tells us basic profile details, such as your name and email address, once you agree. That creates your Feral Worlds account, which InsForge holds on our servers. We never act on your Google account, and Google sees that you signed in to Feral Worlds.
- Google Analytics
- Counts visits and which pages and games people enjoy, on this site, in the Feral Worlds game app and in the game client. Only loads if you accept analytics.
- Discord
- When you join the waitlist, our team gets a short note in a private channel on our Discord server, with your email partly hidden (like j***@gmail.com).
How long we keep it
Your waitlist email and your account stay until you ask us to delete them. When you unsubscribe, we mark your address so we never email it again; ask us and we'll delete it completely, along with your account. See how to delete your data. Analytics data is kept by Google for the limited period set in our Google Analytics settings.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any of our emails.
- Turn analytics on or off anytime with Cookie settings.
- Ask what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days. The steps are on our delete your data page.
Age
Feral Worlds is for people 18 and older, because our game rooms and chat are not fully monitored. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has joined the waitlist or made an account, email us and we'll remove them.
Our terms
The rules for using Feral Worlds, such as having an account, how to behave and what we can and can't promise, are on our Terms of Service page.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll tell the waitlist by email first.
