Feral Worlds

The ground rules

Terms of Service.

Last updated October 20, 2026

The short version

  • Feral Worlds is for fun. Play fair, be kind, and don’t break the games or other people’s evenings.
  • Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You can leave whenever you like.
  • Your account is yours. Keep it to yourself, and tell us if someone else gets in.
  • We built this with care, but it is early. Things change, and the games come as they are.
  • Feral Worlds is for people 18 and older. Our game rooms and chat are not fully monitored.

That list is a summary to help you read the rest. The full terms below are what count.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are between you and Feral Game Studio, a small independent game studio (“we” and “us”), and they cover the Feral Worlds website, the practice tables, the waitlist, your account, and the game rooms when they open (together, “Feral Worlds”). By using Feral Worlds, joining the waitlist or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

How we handle your information is covered in our privacy page, which is part of how we deal with each other.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 18 years old. Feral Worlds is not for anyone younger, because our game rooms and chat are not fully monitored. By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using the site, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we may close it and delete what we hold. You also need to be able to form a binding agreement and not be barred from using the service by any law that applies to you.

Your account

You can create an account by signing in with Google. That account is how you will join and host game rooms. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your sign-in to yourself, and let us know at [email protected] if you think someone else has got in. Give us true information, and keep one account for yourself.

You can stop using your account at any time and ask us to delete it. The steps are on our delete your data page.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free. It is not a purchase, a pre-order or a promise from either side. It means you would like to hear from us about hosting, new games and merch, and we will write to you about that. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time.

We are still building. We can't promise when hosting opens, which games will be there, or what any of it will cost, and plans may change without notice. Being on the list doesn't guarantee a place, a game or a price.

The games and the practice tables

The practice tables, lessons and puzzles are there to learn and enjoy. They are free to use, they run in your browser against friendly bots, and your progress there stays in your own browser. The games are for entertainment only. Nothing here involves real money, prizes or wagers.

We follow common rules for each game, and some groups play differently. If a rule feels off to you, tell us. We will look at it, but the version on the site is the version the site uses.

Game rooms

When game rooms open, you may be asked to agree to a few extra rules for playing with other people, such as how hosts invite guests and what happens when someone leaves mid-game. If we add rules, we will show them to you first. Hosts decide who sits at their table, and we may step in if a room breaks these terms.

How to behave

Please don't:

  • harass, threaten or discriminate against other players, or post anything unlawful;
  • cheat in ways that spoil the game for others, such as using bots, exploits or collusion;
  • break, probe or overload the site, or get around its protections, rate limits or sign-in;
  • use someone else's account, or pretend to be a person or a studio you are not;
  • collect other people's information, or copy the site or its games to sell or pass off as your own;
  • use Feral Worlds for anything illegal.

We may remove content, limit features or close an account that breaks these rules, and where we can we will tell you why.

What belongs to whom

Feral Worlds, including its name, logo, art, games, text and code, belongs to Feral Game Studio or the people who license it to us, and it is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, resell or build on it without our written permission. The rules of traditional games are not ours, and we claim no ownership over them.

If you send us anything, such as a bug report, an idea or a comment, you let us use it to run and improve Feral Worlds without paying you, and without crediting you unless we choose to. You keep ownership of your own words.

Other people's services

Feral Worlds uses services run by others, such as Google for signing in, Discord for our community and Kickstarter for any crowdfunding. They have their own terms and privacy rules, and we don't control them. Using them is up to you.

No promises about uptime or fitness

Feral Worlds is early and is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or safe from loss, and we don't promise it will suit your particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties beyond what the law says we must.

Our responsibility to you

To the fullest extent the law allows, Feral Game Studio and the people who work with us are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, that come from using or not being able to use Feral Worlds. Because Feral Worlds is free today, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Some places don't allow certain limits, so some of this may not apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using Feral Worlds whenever you like. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if keeping it going puts others or the service at risk, and we may change or retire any part of Feral Worlds. If we end your account for something other than a breach, we will give you notice where we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, the limits on our responsibility and how we settle disagreements, still apply afterwards.

If we disagree

Please write to us first at [email protected]. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation. If we can't, the law of the place where Feral Game Studio is based will apply to these terms, and any dispute will be handled in the courts there, unless a law where you live gives you the right to go elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If it is a big change, we will tell the waitlist by email first. Using Feral Worlds after a change means you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can stop using it and ask us to delete your account.
